Should I pay hundreds for professional teeth whitening or do drugstore teeth whiteners work just as good?

I have nice teeth they are straight and they are white, naturally but I see the celebrities and they're teeth look so incredible...I'd like whiter teeth...should I get em professionally whitened, or should I just get a drugstore product? What works more? Also, how long does it last? Both ways...and I live in los angeles...can anyone help me with where I should go for great results if I should get profesional whitening, and if I should just buy a at home bleaching kit...which 1 is best? Please helpome bleaching kit, which 1?
