Strange cat kneading and biting behavior? Is this normal?

Casanova is a very friendly short hair, black and white domestic "male" (he is neutered) cat. He loves to snuggle with me at night, and knead my neck. Lately though, after he has been kneading me for a while ( almost 10 minutes) he begins to shake all over and then he bites me. He hasn't drawn blood or left a mark yet, but it makes me not want him to knead me. After I caught onto his behavior, I began to either push him away, or move when he begins to shake- when that happens, he meow's really loudly and then runs away. Is this some kind of ual behavior? Is this common or should I consult a vet?
