Does flaxseed oil reduce oil on the skin?

Im trying to figure out in detail what exactly flaxseed oil does for the skin. It said that it can help cure acne! I just bought flaxseed oil pills and it sais I have to take them three times daily. Will this really help and how exactly does it help acne in detail please!!!!! Thankyou:)
